It’s finally that time of year again! The sun is out, the shades are on, and all we want in our glasses is a crisp, refreshing pour of Concannon Rosé of Petite Sirah. This delicious pink juice has become a summertime staple.
Rosé wines have long been acquainted with the dog days of summer and provide a perfect backdrop for many of summer’s greatest food fare. Working to overcome their tainted reputation of being super sweet, or “intro” wines, a true Rosé is often off-dry to dry in nature and displays appropriate fresh fruit flavors that lean toward the strawberry and raspberry side of the fruit spectrum.
The Concannon 2017 Rosé of Petite Sirah
Available April 6, 2018, our Rosé of Petite Sirah defies the notion that a wine’s color can accurately indicate its flavor. Though it’s a more medium-colored pink, darker than some staunch rosé drinkers might venture to taste, it’s incredibly light on its feet, and refreshing.
Its finest feature is delicate floral and red fruit notes, offering strawberries, and red cherries with a silky texture that feels like satin on the tongue.
The flavors never disappoint with tart notes of citrus combined with juicy melon, hints of red berries and minerality on the finish.
“This is the answer to all your poolside sipping needs”
